The Weekend of Christmas - a new event to launch the festive season at Sewerby Hall and Gardens
The events team at Sewerby Hall and Gardens are finalising their plans for a brand new event in early December – 'The Weekend of Christmas'.
Taking place over the first weekend in December, the weekend will include husky sled rides, themed face painting, festive donkey rides, a brand new Christmas photo booth, Rusticus Theatre Arts' Christmas Adventures, traditional carol concerts from Coastal Voices Choir, local solo soprano Emmie Beckitt and Driffield Salvation Army.
There will also be children's activities in the house hosted by the council's museum team. There will be a hot roast chestnut seller on site and traditional fare will be available from the Clock Tower Café.
The house itself will be decorated in all its festive glory.
Facility manager, Marie Gascoigne said: "I hope that people will want to put Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December in their diaries to come and sample The Weekend of Christmas! This is the first time we have put on this event here, and I know the house will look stunning, and all the activities will add up to a great weekend of festive fun!"
