'Sewerby Squirrels' – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families - is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time.
All the sessions feature activities based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits on display at the venue. Each session includes a sensory area and quiet corner, plus a themed activity.
The session on 9 April will be Edwardian cleaning – a chance to find out about the different housework jobs Edwardian servants had to do. On 16 April, the activity will be an Amy Johnson Themed Craft, with the opportunity to make and fly a paper helicopter.
The session on 23 April will be History Explorers, when participants can enjoy some real and replica Edwardian toys. The final session of the month, on 30 April, will include a Role Play Tea Party, with pretend drinks and cakes.
Lucy Cooke, under fives learning co-ordinator, said: "We have put together a very varied programme for The Squirrels in April, once again combining having fun with learning about the past."
The sessions are included in normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens whilst they apply.
