The first session of the new Indoor Volleyball Club for adults took place at East Riding Leisure Bridlington with London 2012 GB Volleyball Captain, Ben Pipes on hand to help participants learn the game, play the game and have fun.
Ben later tweeted 'All the hard work by @East Riding paid off with a perfect #volleyball launch.'
The weekly session will take place every Monday from 6.30pm – 7.30pm and will be free of charge until 22 May, after which a small charge will be introduced (activities will not take place on Bank Holidays)
The establishment of the volleyball club is part of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Active Coast Programme which will officially launch at Easter, and aims to 'provide residents and visitors opportunities to get active, be healthy and enjoy life on the East Yorkshire coast'.
