There will be chance to come to North Bridlington Library on Friday, 6 April between 10.30am and 2pm, for a fun, free and informal drawing workshop with artist, Penny Davenport.

This workshop has been arranged to celebrate the opening of the 'Truth and Fantasy' art exhibition at North Bridlington Library, which runs from Friday, 6 April until Saturday, 2 June 2018, and is free to visit.

Truth and Fantasy is an exhibition created by North Yorkshire based Chrysalis Arts as part of their 'Art Unpacked' project, which aims to bring the very best of contemporary art and craft to small and unique venues. The exhibition brings together artists from across the UK who draw in highly skilled and imaginative ways, from pencil on paper to objects and animation.

Participants do not need any drawing experience; this workshop has been designed for all abilities to take part. Long rolls of paper will be provided both on the floor and on tables and Penny will encourage people to add their drawings in a range of materials including charcoal, pastels and pencil, with the hope of creating a long group piece.

Materials will be provided, and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. This is a drop in session, so booking is not required.
