ArtWaves has announced the first bookable workshops. A visual arts festival returning to Bridlington Spa for the fourth year being held on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May 2018.

Several workshops have been released with more set to complete the festival line up in the coming months with the full programme due for release early 2018.

Workshops will span the fringe week of ArtWaves and across the festival weekend, bringing the return of festival favourites and new additions to the bill of artists.

Renowned artist Charles Evans will be returning over the festival weekend with a relaxed step by step Watercolour workshop, alongside Catherine Inglis, Richard Stuttle, Carol Davidson, Tony Hogan and sell out artist Robert Dutton.

The 2018 will also host new artists including multi award winning Print Maker, Louise Stebbing in a three hour Lino Printing workshop and BBC's Painting Challenge Finalist Jan Szymczuk, bringing a start to finish acrylic scene workshop to the offering.

Returning from the premiere festival in 2014, Jake Attree will be exploring Oils and creating a stunning seascape in a four hour workshop.

Festival Director, Lauren Frost said, "I am thrilled to be bringing such a strong bill of artist workshops to the festival for 2018, with even more on the way. All of the artists involved are incredibly supportive of the event, facilitating the growth of visual arts in East Yorkshire.

ArtWaves is growing and marking itself as a key event within the arts calendar and as such we are able to bring some fantastic opportunities into the mix for attendees. The overall programme has been tailored to the vast demographic ArtWaves attracts and I cannot wait to share this early next year."

The bookable workshops form part of a much larger festival including an Open Exhibition, free activities, demonstrations, talks, installations and much more.

All workshops are limited capacity and are anticipated to once again sell out, attendees are encouraged to buy tickets early to avoid disappointment.
