New weekly sessions are coming to Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Monday mornings - under fives and their families are the audience for the new sessions, usually to be held in the Orangery from10am -11.30am, during East Riding school term times.
The new 'Sewerby Squirrels' sessions will feature activities based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits on display at the venue.
The sessions will launch on Monday, 18 September with Wash Day – and the first session will be longer, from 10am – 12 noon. It will be a chance to explore washing, Edwardian style! Participants will be able to enjoy water play, bubbles, laundry activities, and making a craft to take home.
The following Mondays will include making a jellyfish (25 September); going on a welly walk (2 October) ; and kneading bread dough (9 October).
The sessions will be included in normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens whilst they apply.
There will be a nominal charge for the sessions during the winter season (with one accompanying adult admitted free with each child):
Under 3s still free (as per the normal admission pricing)
3-4s £2 (with one adult free per child)
Free entry for annual pass holders.
Visitors will need to pay at the Welcome Centre when it gets to the winter season (as with all other charged activities).
