Advertising your property and vehicles on the Bridlington website couldn't be easier simply sign up for your new account from the menu on the left and you can immediately add your listing.

Please note that for property sales we are not advocating that you do not use the expertise of an Estate Agent to sell your property as they provide a far greater function than simply advertising your property, although you may wish to supplement their selling efforts with added exposure for your property on the Bridlington Property Guide.

Adding your listing.

Please note that although our instructions are primarily aimed at property listings the fundamentals are the same for vehicle listings.

Once you have created your account you can add your listing by selecting the "Login your Listing" link on the menu on the left, this will take you to the login screen shown below.

Enter your provided login name and password here

The next screen is displayed as above, as you will see this screen provides an "Add" button, the first time user needs to click the "Add" button to be taken to the next screen where they can now type in their text and details and upload their photos, this screen also provides a search facility for those listing multiple properties but that is pretty self explanatory and not relevant to most users, so we simply select the "Add" button to go to the data entry section.

As you will see once again it is simply a case of entering the information in the correct box or selecting a choice from a drop down menu, now to add an image, at the bottom of the screen after completing the information section simply select the "upload" button which you can see in the bottom right of the screen shot below, now I know what you are thinking but trust me just press the upload button.

There now, as you can see we can now select up to 10 images to accompany your information, you can add more or alternative images later if you wish. I would stress at this point that it is better to name your pictures all in lower case, preferably without spaces and all must be less than 60k in size, otherwise your pictures will take far to long to load, okay so we will assume that you have already taken your pictures and know where they are located on your hard disk, simply click the first browse button which should be on your screen as shown below.

You should now get what for some will be a familiar screen, this is basically a browse facility to allow you to find and select one of your images the screen you see may differ dependant upon your operating system and obviously the location of your files, however in Windows XP you should get something like the image below, simply use the standard navigation procedures relevant to your operating system to locate and select one of your images, again remember to name your image sensibly, 1.jpg will not be any help when you are trying to remember which is the lounge picture and which is the outside view etc so give them descriptive names, if you are entering multiple properties include the address or other factor to help you remember which image is which.

Okay so having selected your image and clicked open the image details will be added to your list and simply repeat this process until you have added all the pictures you want, you should then end up with something looking like this, Please note that our system will only accept JPG or GIF images, other types will not be uploaded

Now click the "Upload" button and you will now be taken to a screen which hopefully resembles the one below, bear in mind that there may be a delay while your images are transferred to our server, once again try to remember to keep your images to a reasonable size, I would not recommend anything over 5" which is approximately 360 pixels wide.

As you will see you now have the facility to input a short description for all your images, once you have done so simply click the save button and you will be returned to the screen 6 images above, now you can select the images to use including a preview image, (usually a front elevation) you can modify the description of any image from this screen by selecting the image from the drop down box under modify image and rewriting the text, once you are happy with your selections simply select the "Save" button, now your image is saved and will appear on the listing screen which you will receive after you click on the "OK" button on the new screen.

And that is basically it, to log out of your manager simply click on the cross in the top right hand corner.
