Out and About
It's picturesque, peaceful and just a
little bit quirky. East Yorkshire rejoices in English life at its
best. You just can't beat it!
Walks in the Wolds, a day at the races or picnics by the river - the
choice is yours, but at least one day in the country is a must.
The scenery is a wonderful surprise - duck ponds, village greens,
proper pubs and the weird and wonderful Spurn Point - It really
isn't quite like anywhere else in Britain.
Take a leisurely drive through the countryside, or pick up one of
the excellent walking guides from the tourist information centre and
explore the beautiful Wolds countryside on foot. Whatever you do,
you're never far from the perfect hostelry and some of Yorkshire's
best pub lunches.
The menu's on the left provide a brief glimpse of just a few of the
local areas worth a visit, if you take the plunge then why not take
your camera and submit some images for Bridlington photographs
section.
