We have attempted to ensure our listing facility is as intuitive as possible to make adding your information to the Bridlington.net website as easy as possible for you.
Once your account has been created for you you will be able to login here.. Account Login .
Once you have logged into your account using the login and password provided to you you will see the website section your information is relevant to in the left hand panel, i.e. "Serviced Accommodation" "Business Directory" etc. Simply click this to access your listing.
You will now be provided with a selection of information boxes which you need to complete. It is important that your information is entered correctly as visitors to the site will often filter listings on their particular needs via the search facility and if you do not complete your information correctly you may find that your advertisement is missing from searches it should appear in.
You will see that there is a "Summary Description" box and a " "Full Description" box, The summary description is the information which will be seen in the listings and the full description appears on your main information page.
It is important to note that it is very often the information which appears in your summary description which will persuade the viewer whether or not to bother looking at your full information so it is worthwhile giving full consideration as to what information you place in your summary and how it is worded.
Once you have completed adding your text information we would recommend saving the information by clicking the save button at the top or bottom of the page.
You are now ready to add your images, you can include up to 10 images within your listing which are added at the bottom of the page where it says "add or upload files".
Please be aware that while our software will attempt to resize you images to an appropriate size the images do need to be smaller than 2048K (2MB) prior to attempting to upload them.
There are a number of free software packages available on the Internet which will resize your images for you if you do not have your own graphics package, alternatively many e-mail programs will offer to resize the images for you if you e-mail them to yourself.
Once you are happy that the images you wish to upload are less than 2048K in size simply click on the "add or upload files" text and you will be provided with a browser box which will enable you to browse your computer for the images you wish to upload, if you wish to upload more than one image at a time simply hold the CTRL key down while you select your images.
When all images have been selected simply click the open button and your images will be uploaded to our server. Once the images have been uploaded you will be given the opportunity to add a title and caption to the image.
Once the process is completed you can rearrange the order in which they are displayed by simply clicking and holding down your mouse button on the arrows to the left of your image and dragging it up or down the list.
Once you are finished simply click on the save button again and your listing will be published to the Bridlington.net website.
Should you wish to make any amendments to your listing you can do so at any time and as often as you wish.
