Hello, and welcome to 'Photography Tips' my name is Jaqui, and photography has been my hobby for over 30 years. I am self taught from reading books and articles, and looking at other photographers photographs. i do not profess to being an expert, as I still make mistakes along the way.
I turned to digital 4 years ago, having said that I never would, but, there you go times they are a changing.
Most people now own a digital camera, but do you know that choosing one is an art in it's self. A camera is like choosing a motorcar, it has to feel good in your hands, by that I mean comfortable, sturdy, and solid. Not just purchased because it looks good, or it's the 'in' thing of the moment, with lots of fancy dials that you will probably never use anyway, as I find that lots of 'snappers' stick to auto, and use cameras only for special occasions.
Nothing wrong with that I hear you say, but you don't know what you are missing. So if you are about to invest in a camera, I say invest because that is what you are doing, remember, it has a lot of work to do for you. so choose wisely. Jaqui.
