Welcome all, the new Photography section is designed to provide hints and tips to those who enjoy taking photographs whatever their depth of experience. may I offer all our thanks to Jaqui who has graciously offered to provide us all with selections of hints and tips.

Regular visitors to the Bridlington Photo gallery will be aware of jaqui's work and I am sure we all agree that Jaqui has a terrific eye for a good photograph.

I hope you all enjoy the section and will submit your own photographs to the Bridlington gallery for everyone to enjoy.

It's suprising how many of never think to use our flash when taking pictures ouitdoors, bright sun can create unattractive deep facial shadows. Eliminate the shadows by using your flash to lighten the face. When taking people pictures on sunny days, turn your flash on.

Accessories for your camera.
Now you have your camera there are a few items that I would recommend.
A camera bag is a good start as it will protect your gear from the elements.
One that is small enough to carry anywhere, but large enough to store your extras.

Perhaps the most well know principle of photographic composition is the ‘Rule of Thirds‘.

It's one of the simplest techniquest to learn but can create a great difference in the impact your shot makes.

Choosing a Camera
Hello, and welcome to 'Photography Tips' my name is Jaqui, and photography has been my hobby for over 30 years. I am self taught from reading books and articles, and looking at other photographers photographs. i do not profess to being an expert, as I still make mistakes along the way.
