Making the most of some fine weather after several days of rain a walk through Bridlington ended with a visit to the Bridlington Railway Station to see the floral display.
No-one seems to be in a hurry in Bridlngton (unless they are in a vehicle), it seems that there is all the time in the world to browse through the shops. Extra outsize beach balls seem to be the rage with the youngsters this year. Although with all the heavy rain we have had recently perhaps a rubber dinghy would be more appropriate. It does feel like Autumn creeping in but maybe we still have good days to come before the school holidays end.

A tidy up of the bins on a packed harbour.

The harbour always has an attraction so that was part of my route today and having my camera (looking like I knew what I was doing) in my hand two ladies in straw hats asked me to take a photo of them with their camera. Happy to oblige I hope it turns out ok.
After a visit to a cafe I hadn't been in before and a chat with another lady, on the folly of young people smoking, I realised I hadn't been to the Railway Station this year to see the flowers. It was an award winning display last year and it is no different this year. It is well worth a visit as you can see from the photo. Keeping all those plants in tip top condition must be quite a task.

A brilliant display of flowers at Bridlington Railway Station.

The railway station is brilliant but the floral displays around Bridlington are all eyecatching. Well done to everyone who was involved in making the town so colourful.
