26 Archers turned out on Easter Sunday morning for Bridlington Archers' Easter Bunny "fun" shoot.  The "fun" came in the guise of freezing cold temperature, winds of a high velocity, snow and hailstones.  The morning started as usual; targets were set out and then tea and coffee was consumed prior to the contest.  The usual concentric circles were replaced by pictures of a rabbit on the target bosses.  The rabbit was marked with scoring areas and the archers shot three dozen arrows apiece.

The weather tried it's best to spoil the competition but it didn't quite succeed.  Proceedings went off without any problems (apart from a couple of bow strings being put on upside down. Oops!)  When the archers and their scoresheets had become suitably cold and soggy, the competitors retreated to the clubhouse for more refreshments.

Results were as follows:

Longbow:  Men - 1) Ken Ward  2) Terry Jones

Ladies - 1) Janice Firth  2) Sue Jones, Michelle Firth (Joint)

Recurve:  Men - 1) Andy Howe  2) Kevin McLeod

Ladies - 1) Liz Haynes  2) Carole Reaney, Pat Styles (Joint)

Juniors - 1) Mikey Smith  2) Josh Howe

Novice Men - 1) Steve Shipley  2) Steve George

Novice Ladies - 1) Michelle George

Novice Juniors - 1) Lara McLeod

Thanks to Dave and Carole Reaney for organising the event, another good job as usual.

But Terry Jones has to take the blame for the weather, because he said that he would have a word with his Dad to make it warm and sunny!
