The hall opens on Saturday, 31 March when a variety of artwork and information will be on show, including F.ocus Photography, Aspects of Danes Dyke by Diane Leach, Barnes Wallis – The Yorkshire Connection and Beyond and Country House Libraries.

31 March – 1 July: Aspects of Danes Dyke by Diane Leach
Diane Leach studied Craft Design at Plymouth College of Art and Design specialising in ceramics. After working in a pottery near Plymouth for a few years she moved back to her home town of Bridlington. Having had a varied career she now works part time in the adult education sector teaching creative studies.
31 March – 24 June: Barnes Wallis – The Yorkshire Connection and Beyond
2012 is the 125th Anniversary on Barnes Wallis' birth and this exhibition celebrates this anniversary. This exhibition tells the story of this brilliant man. It covers his life with his family at Howden in the 1920s. It describes the R100 airship, what it did and what happened to it. It also explains his wartime and post-war work including his role in the broadcasting of the live TV pictures from the first manned moon landing in 1969. The exhibition is put on in conjunction with the Barnes Wallis Memorial Trust.
31 March – 30 September: Country House Libraries
Country House Libraries is a volunteer-led production on the first floor corridor. Researched and produced by Sewerby's Heritage volunteers, the exhibition explores the development of country house libraries as not only the mark of educated gentry but also the route to self improvement and their function as early lending libraries. The show focuses in particular on a fascinating collection of books which was left at the Hall after the Lloyd Greame family sold up in 1934.
