Arthritis Care in BridlingtonBridlington & District branch of Arthritis Care (a registered national charity) provides a means of socialising for people with arthritis, their carers and friends. All are welcome to come along to our monthly meetings and meet other people with similar problems to share information and experiences. We have a guest speaker each month and an annual trip out. The branch meeting is held on the third Thursday of each month at 2pm at the Emmanuel Church, 70 Cardigan Road. AC April 2013 Branch Meeting

On Thursday 18th April we held our branch meeting at Emmanuel Church. Our chairman Elizabeth Hodges welcomed members and friends to the meeting. She then introduced our guest speaker Mavis Turver. Mavis talked about healthy eating, yoga and meditation. We all then took part in a gentle but beneficial yoga session. After tea and the draw for raffle Mavis went on to explain about the benefits meditation and we joined her in a short meditation session.

Elizabeth thanked Mavis for her talk. The next meeting will be on Thursday 16th May 2pm-4pm at Emmanuel Church. Robert Hurley from “Filey Folk” will entertain us. Doreen & Ken are planning a Costume Jewellery sales table so if you have any surplus costume jewellery please bring it to the meeting.
