The refurbishment of the Tone Zone at East Riding Leisure Driffield is now complete, and the centre has fully reopened. The Group X exercise studio has also been refurbished.
The new look 48 – station Tone Zone gym includes all of the latest cardio and strength machines, multi functional machines, a free weights area and a TRX wall in the studio.
The refurbishment includes the latest gym equipment that has also recently been installed at East Riding Leisure Goole and Pocklington.
These include features such as Virtual Active software which allows users to run or cycle through the Rockie Mountains or the French Alps, and connect to the internet to browse social media channels and connect to their fitness app.
The new TRX wall, Matrix C7Xi Climbmills, new flooring and additional consultation area offer an improved Tone Zone experience for customers.
As well as running instructor-led classes for the popular Les Mills range of classes, East Riding Leisure Driffield has become the first of the council's centres to run virtual Les Mills workouts. These combine world-leading fitness programmes with pumping sound and motivation from some of the world's top instructors, all at the customers' fingertips.
The virtual Les Mills classes also mean that the site can offer customers more than double the amount of classes previously provided.
Senior facility manager Darren Jackson said : "I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to invest to greatly improve our facilities here at East Riding Leisure Driffield, and I would like to thank our customers for their patience during the refurbishment works.
"We look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our new-look leisure centre."
